Want to Make Extra Money?

Dear Reader,

What does making extra cash have to do with what women want? Well, nothing really. (But is there such a thing as a woman who wouldn't be happy if you made more money!?) I just wanted to tell you about how this website came into being (and suggest a few other ways to make money at the bottom of this page.)

I was poking around on the internet, clicking on all the snazzy, get-rich-fast ads that claimed to provide gobs of money in a few days' time. I'd been hearing and reading about how people are making money online and wanted to see if this was a viable option for me.

As you might imagine, the web is stuffed with phony make-money-online schemes designed to sucker you into paying the "discounted" fee and leave you holding an empty bag. Some of the ads are hard to resist because they are so cleverly written, sound so promising, and are full of photos of smiling couples standing in front of their brand-new Mercedes and McMansion in the suburbs.

Then I stumbled on a website called Site Build It. I was skeptical at first, as I am about anything online, but the more I read it, the more legitimate it seemed. Site Build It! is a professional website creator that gives you your own domain, hosts your site, automatically submits your webpages to search engines, analyzes your traffic, and provides ongoing support.

It is really an amazing service that caters to people like me who know nothing about building an income-generating website or HTML (for all I knew that stood for Hot Technophobe Male Lovers! FYI, it stands for Hyper Text Markup Language), and all the other technical mumbo jumbo. Site Build It! is designed around a simple formula, which they refer to as CTPM. This stands for Content -> Traffic -> Presell -> Monetize.

The way they have it set up is that you follow this formula to make sure your site becomes profitable. Anyone can hire a website designer and throw up a snazzy-looking site, but if you don't know how to create great content and generate traffic, your site will just sit there all by its lonesome and not make a dime.

I really appreciated how easy it was to follow the instructions to build a site from scratch. They have ready-made templates you can use or if you have some design know-how, you can use your own design and upload your own HTML.

Site Build It! is great but it doesn't guarantee success. It's definitely not a get-rich-quick scheme. It still takes time and effort to build a successful online business. But the extremely helpful suite of tools SBI includes puts the odds of success in your favor. Lots of people who have SBI sites earn enough money to quit their day jobs.

And how is this site doing, money-wise? It's still a young site, less than a year old, and more pages are being added on a regular but part-time basis. (We still have day jobs.) So we are still in the infant stages of making money. But our traffic is increasing steadily every month (which SBI monitors for you) and we're still learning about new ways to make money. Some of the monetization methods we use are Google ads and affiliate programs.

Not sure what kind of hobby, product, or business you would want to build on the web?

Are you passionate about something that could possibly interest others? Do you know a lot about Harley motorcycles or vintage Chevy cars?
